Brian Parker, Associate Pastor, Minister to Families

Brian was born and raised in the metropolitan area of Morton, MS (which was better known for their chicken population at the time). He grew up in a great Christian home with parents who loved the Lord. Brian gave his heart and life to Christ at the age of 13, and he surrendered to the ministry after his freshmen year of college. While in college, Brian meet his beautiful soon to be bride, Ginger. The two joined hands in marriage in August of 1999. Brian and Ginger have two amazing gifts from God named Hannah Grace,8, and Kinsley, 3. Brian enjoys spending time in the word of God, but he had pin point a life verse it would be 2 Cor. 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me." Brian also enjoys spending time with his 3 girls. He is big fan of sports especially college football (particularly the sec). He also has a strange connection to ribeye steaks that cannot be explained, actually that connection goes a little bit further than just steaks.

Brian completed his bachelor's degree at William Carey College, and through the leadership of the Lord, he continued his education at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where received a Master's Art in Christian Education.

Brian has been serving as the Minister of Students and Education at Bovina Baptist Church for the past twelve years. Beginning the summer of 2013, Brian moved to a new expanded ministry role at the church as Associate Pastor, Minister to Families. Brian has a passion to see the hearts and lives of all our students (preschool through college) and their families changed with gospel of Christ. He desires to see students who are passionate about their relationship with Christ, and who are eager to be the hands and feet of God to a lost and dying world. He also has a desire to minister to whole families and nurture them as they grow together in the Lord.
